Wonder Why

Once upon a time, there was a man who, seeing an apple fall from the apple tree, wondered why the apple fell to the ground.
Animals don't wonder why so deeply. In the same way, humans didn't wonder why so deeply in the past. However, after they came to think that there is always a cause to what they thought to be accidental, human civilization developed rapidly.
Nowadays, people cannot but think that accidents, injuries, or diseases are not products by chance; there is always some cause. People cannot but think that the prosperity or bankruptcy of a company is not the result of an accident, there must be some cause. There is a cause for success, and there is a cause for failure.
In small-sized companies, employees work very hard; day and night, sometimes. If they fail, they are likely to think that their efforts were insufficient.
In case of failure, employees in big companies suppose that there are more than 300 causes, and they will tackle the task after thoroughly analyzing the result.
And at the national level, the conquest of space has started. A space shuttle can turn around the Earth in no more than one hour and a half. And now a program to make a colony on Mars is being carried out steadily, based on the "why" thinking.
However, what has been progressing so far is only a physical research. The study of humanity formation has not progressed since 1000 years.
How can human nature itself progress or grow?

How many people today question children's education or character formation programs for employees by companies?
We might say that everything starts with "Why?".
