You are inviting an undesired result

People who have achieved success are all hard on themselves.
When working with people with whom they are close, some of those who are hard on themselves often demand unconsciously that those people be equally strict on themselves.
Unintentionally, they react strictly to these people, saying things like "no, that's no good!" or "you shouldn't do that!"
Of course, as the beginning of any work is crucial, so strictness is natural and necessary at the initial stage.
However, if you continue with this attitude, the people around you will not be able to stand it for a long time. Not only that, you will be unintentionally inviting an undesired result.
Individuals all have their own unique personalities and character. So after they reach a certain point, you had better loosen your strict attitude toward them and let them make use of their own unique qualities. With this approach, I believe, they will willingly strive to be strict on themselves and grow as people.
People will generate greater strength when they follow instructions voluntarily, rather than being forced to obey them.
